Woman Falls From Mariner of the Seas, Survived

It was a beautiful day onboard the Mariner of the Seas. The sun was shining and the passengers were enjoying the lovely weather on the 10th deck. Suddenly, a 42-year-old woman fell overboard into the ocean more than 30 miles off the coast of the Dominican Republic.

The woman was quickly spotted by the ship’s crew and a rescue operation was launched. However, it took nearly an hour to get the woman out of the water and onto the ship. In the meantime, the other passengers onboard the ship were left in suspense, not knowing what was happening.

Luckily, the woman was quickly pulled to safety by some quick-thinking bystanders and she suffered no injuries. The woman was taken to the cruise ship’s medical facility after the incident and later transferred to a hospital in Willemstad, Curaçao, Castrodad said, adding that “no medical evacuation of the passenger was requested by the cruise ship.”
