The Disney Treasure is the second of Disney Cruises’ largest Wish-class vessels that can accommodate 4,000 passengers. It will be a companion to the Disney Wish, which was launched in 2022. The ship is inspired by Walt Disney’s passion for exploration and will offer an adventure-themed experience that highlights some of the company’s most iconic stories. The interior design will blend real-world influences from Asia and Africa with the fictional world of Agrabah from the beloved movie “Aladdin” by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The Disney Treasure ship is currently being constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. It will have 1,254 cabins and run on liquefied natural gas. The ship’s theme will revolve around adventure and will feature references to movies like “Coco” and “Zootopia” as well as Disney theme park attractions. Disney Treasure will be the first ship to have three atriums, including one called the Grand Hall.
The ship will also introduce a new interactive dining experience at the modern Mexican restaurant Plaza de Coco, which will showcase performances by Miguel and his family. World of Marvel and 1923, which pays tribute to classic Walt Disney animation, will be the other two restaurants available.
The ship’s rooms will have the signature split-bath concept that appeals to families, and 451 of the 1,256 cabins will have connecting doors for larger family groups. Additionally, 877 of the rooms will feature a balcony.
The design of the ship’s funnel is reminiscent of Walt Disney’s EPCOT center but with a futuristic twist. The Disney Treasure will embark on its first journey on December 21st, 2024, taking passengers on a seven-night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean departing from Port Canaveral.

Disney Cruise Line is taking a new approach with their latest ship by incorporating themes from park attractions, rather than solely focusing on Disney characters and movies. The Skipper Society bar on the Disney Treasure is a prime example of this concept, drawing inspiration from the Jungle Cruise ride and its humorous skippers. The bar features a menu of themed cocktails and light bites including waffles.
Another new addition is the Periscope Pub, designed to resemble the Nautilus submarine from Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas” and Disney’s 1954 movie adaptation of the book. With a giant periscope and porthole windows, guests can feel like they’re underwater while enjoying a drink.
While it’s unclear what will replace the “Star Wars“-themed Hyperspace Lounge on the Disney Treasure, it’s clear that the ship is taking a unique approach to its design and theming.
There is a sense of optimism among fans that the area on Treasure will be filled with fun and lighthearted energy.
How much does it cost to sail on Disney Treasure?
If you have your heart set on being a passenger on the inaugural journey of Disney Treasure, it will cost you a minimum of $8,773 for an inside cabin and $11,279 for a balcony cabin, both for two people. For a family of four, the prices rise to $14,088 and $16,796 for the inside and balcony cabins, respectively.
However, if these prices are too steep for your budget, there are more affordable options available, although they only offer week-long cruises and there are no rock-bottom prices to be found.
Disney Treasure offers cabin fares starting at $3,845 for double occupancy or $6,271 for a family of four, except for its maiden voyages. Families looking for a verandah cabin can expect to pay close to $8,000, while a concierge cabin will set them back around $15,000.
