The fourth and final of Celebrity’s Edge class cruise ships, Celebrity Ascent, is set to launch in fall 2023, and will boast a number of innovations that have already been seen on Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond.
This new cruise ship will feature the latest in modern design and technological advancements, with an emphasis on luxury and comfort. The interior of the ship will feature state-of-the-art amenities, such as spacious cabins and suites, multiple restaurants, bars, and lounges. There will also be an array of activities to keep guests entertained, such as a pool deck, a spa and wellness center, and a variety of live entertainment.
The Celebrity Ascent will also feature the latest in safety technology, so that guests can rest assured that they are in good hands throughout their voyage. From the latest in fire safety systems to advanced navigation technology, Celebrity Ascent will be one of the safest cruise ships on the open seas.
Short review
The Edge class cruise ship is set to make its inaugural voyage at the end of 2023, homeported in the stunning city of Valletta. Measuring a grand 327 meters in length, the 140,600 GT vessel will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 22 knots. It will boast a total of 17 decks, with a capacity for up to 3,260 passengers and 1,400 crew members. Wifi will be available for a fee, and smoking is allowed in designated areas as usual.
Restaurants - Celebrity Ascent
Four exquisite restaurants await passengers aboard the ship; each offering something unique. On Deck 5, for the first time, Blu restaurant has an outdoor terrace with seating for 24 people. Le Bistro restaurant provides an unforgettable experience with stories projected on all tables before each course. The Eden Restaurant caters to vegetarians, serving sustainable and organic dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Normandie Restaurant on Deck 3 features contemporary French cuisine in an upscale atmosphere, and adjacent is the Tuscan Restaurant, which serves Italian delicacies.
Suite guests have exclusive access to the Luminae suite restaurant on Deck 16, where a Michelin-starred chef prepares special dishes. The Retreat’s pool bar is also exclusive to those in suites, while the Martini Bar is open to all and offers bespoke cocktails, with flair bartenders entertaining guests.
Activities
The Celebrity Ascent offers a wide range of bars and lounges for every taste, from the quiet and cozy to the rowdy and festive. The Sunset Bar is a special highlight, where you can relax with a good drink and an incredible view of the setting sun. The spa offers a variety of pampering and beauty services for an extra fee, while the jogging track with unique views of the sea is perfect for a refreshing workout in the fresh air.
Guests can relax in the large pool area with whirlpools for swimming and bathing.
Art-loving guests can enjoy works of art, participate in auctions, and enjoy art events in the newly designed art gallery. There will be as well newly designed game deck with modern slot machines if you prefer it, or you can go enjoy the show in the Theatre.
