Carnival Sunshine – The oldest cruise ship in the Carnival fleet

Carnival Sunshine is the oldest of all the cruise ships in the Carnival fleet. It first set sail in 1996 and has been sailing the seas ever since. Sunshine has been through a lot of changes throughout its years, including getting a new name.
The Sunshine is currently the only cruise ship in the fleet that doesn’t have a pool. The Sunshine originally started its sailing life as the Carnival Destiny. It was the first “superliner” cruise ship ever built.

The Carnival Destiny was also the first cruise ship to ever be longer than 1,000 feet. The Carnival Destiny was originally going to be named the Carnival Sunshine, but the name was changed before the ship set sail for the first time. The Sunshine has had a lot of different owners throughout its years. It was first owned by Carnival Cruise Lines, but then it was sold to Costa Crociere in 2004. Costa Crociere then sold the Sunshine to Royal Caribbean in 2013. Royal Caribbean then sold the Sunshine back to Carnival Cruise Lines in 2014.

Sunshine has also had a lot of different names. It was originally named the Carnival Destiny, but it was later changed to the Carnival Sunshine. The name change happened in 2013, when the Sunshine was sold to Royal Caribbean. The name change was made because Royal Caribbean already had a ship called the Carnival Destiny in their fleet. Sunshine was then sold back to Carnival Cruise Lines in 2014 and the name was changed back to the Carnival Sunshine. Carnival Sunshine has had a lot of different looks throughout its years. It has had two different paint jobs, one in 2009 and one in 2017.

The 2009 paint job was done to celebrate the ship’s 10th anniversary. The 2017 paint job was done to give Sunshine a new look for its 21st anniversary. Sunshine is the only cruise ship in the Carnival fleet that doesn’t have a pool. The decision to not have a pool was made because of the ship’s small size. The Sunshine is also the only cruise ship in the fleet that doesn’t have a water slide. The ship has had a lot of different owners and a lot of different names, but it is still the same old cruise ship that first set sail in 1996.

Sunshine underwent a massive refurbishment in 2016, which saw it get a new lido deck, water park, and other upgrades. The lido deck is a great place to enjoy the sunshine and views, and the water park is a great place to cool off and have some fun. The other upgrades include new furniture, carpets, and bedding, as well as a new paint job.

The Sunshine sail to a variety of destinations including the Caribbean, Alaska, and Europe

The Sunshine is a small ship by today’s standards, measuring just under 600 feet in length. That makes it about one-third the size of the average cruise ship. Even so, the Sunshine can accommodate up to 1,800 passengers. The ship has a total of 8 decks, with cabins located on decks 2 through 7. Sunshine also has a number of dining and entertainment options, including several restaurants, bars, and lounges.

Ship has a long and interesting history. It was built in Bremerhaven, Germany, and originally operated as a ferry between Florida and the Bahamas. The Sunshine was retired from ferry service in 1983 and was bought by Carnival Cruise Lines the following year. Since then, the Sunshine has been sailing to a variety of destinations including the Caribbean, Alaska, and Europe.

One of the best things about Sunshine is that it has something for everyone. No matter what your age or interests are, you’ll be sure to find something to enjoy on the Sunshine. If you’re looking for an unforgettable cruise experience, the Sunshine is the ship for you!.
