In a momentous event, Norwegian Cruise Line celebrated the return of its voyages to Asia. The Norwegian Jewel, a vessel from the NCL fleet, set sail from Tokyo on October 20, commencing a six-month season of exploration in the region after a hiatus of over three years. The Norwegian Jewel’s itinerary offers 16 enriching journeys that will take passengers through 11 different countries.
Departures are scheduled from nine diverse ports, including Bangkok (Laem Chabang) in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia, Singapore, Taipei (Keelung) in Taiwan, Bali (Benoa) in Indonesia, Tokyo, and Yokohama in Japan. Notably, it also marks a historic moment for NCL, as it is the first time a ship will visit Seoul (Incheon) in South Korea.
Guests on board the Norwegian Jewel can select from cruise durations ranging from 10 to 14 days, ensuring a majority of their time is spent exploring fascinating destinations rather than at sea.
Expressing his enthusiasm, David Herrera, the President of Norwegian Cruise Line, shared, “Yesterday was a joyous occasion as we returned to Asia with the arrival of the Norwegian Jewel in Tokyo.”
Asia, with its captivating history, delectable cuisine, and rich culture, has become a sought-after destination for travelers worldwide. The NCL recognizes the significance of this market and is wholeheartedly dedicated to serving it in the long run. Demonstrating their unwavering commitment, the NCL plans to deploy an unprecedented four ships in the region for the 2024/25 season. In addition to the Norwegian Jewel, the Norwegian Spirit, Sun, and Sky will also embark on voyages to various ports across Asia, granting guests the opportunity to uncover both renowned and hidden gems like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
