A passenger reportedly went overboard from Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas during a 7-night cruise through Greece and Croatia.
On the morning of Friday, August 9, at around 5:00 a.m., guests aboard the ship were alerted to search and rescue efforts.
The incident took place while the vessel was sailing between Dubrovnik and Zadar, Croatia. The person involved is believed to be a young UK citizen.
Tracking data shows the ship made several course changes as it conducted search operations.
The Explorer of the Seas departed Ravenna, Italy, on August 3, with planned stops in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Piraeus-Athens, and Santorini in Greece, before heading to Zadar, Croatia, and eventually returning to Ravenna.
