Crystal Cruises, a renowned luxury cruise line, is making waves in the industry with its ambitious plans to introduce four new ships in the coming years. This exciting development was announced by Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, during an exclusive preview voyage onboard the magnificent Crystal Serenity.
The brand’s commitment to providing unparalleled experiences for its discerning clientele is evident in its collaboration with advisors, lenders, and export credit agents. Their collective efforts are focused on signing a memorandum of agreement with two esteemed European shipbuilders. This strategic partnership will ensure that each new ship is crafted to perfection and meets the highest standards of luxury and innovation.
During a recent presentation, spokesperson Levis shared their ambitious growth plans and expressed pride in the successful relaunch of Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony within a year of acquiring the brand. The decision to invest in four new ships showcases Crystal’s dedication to meeting the evolving demands of modern travelers. By expanding their fleet, they are poised to offer even more diverse itineraries and destinations across the globe.
As one of the leading names in luxury cruising, Crystal Cruises has a well-established reputation for excellence. Their attention to detail, world-class cuisine, top-notch entertainment, and luxurious accommodations have garnered them a loyal following. The introduction of these new ships will undoubtedly elevate their already stellar offerings and solidify their competence in the cruise industry.
After acquiring the line that had entered bankruptcy under Genting Hong Kong’s ownership, the group plans to construct two expedition ships and two standard ships. These new ships will join Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, both of which have undergone refurbishments by AKTG.
New expedition ice-class ships will be accommodating around 220 passengers and offering trips to both the Arctic and Antarctica. However, the ships won’t be limited to just the polar regions. Meanwhile, two other new ships will be built to hold roughly 650 passengers each. These ships will have a similar style to Serenity and Symphony but with a more laid-back atmosphere, according to Peter Chipchase, the chief marketing officer.
If everything goes as planned, they all should be done by 2029.
